Fellow pilots of second-hand ship, heed my warning. Your ship reactor may be operating on peek efficiency, but it is not the reactor itself that provides power for your vessel. Check your generator turbine regularly, as it can degrade to dangerous levels and fail in most unfortunate circumstances. While K-37 was intended to be used with a mass driver, ship was designed assuming peak performance of its components. Currently available vessels are not new – and their turbines are not new.
Attempt to operate worn-out turbine in mining environment will lead to power shortages – poor thruster responses, degraded muzzle velocities or even reboot of on-board CPU. They can lead to a range of nasty accidents.
Pristine turbines save lives.
