Exploring the Ring with second-hand ship poses new set of challenges. Those vehicles are quirky and systems can fail at any time. While mission-critical systems are redundant, it’s common to experience uneven thruster performance.
There were bunch of improvements done today. Asteroid graphics got rendered with significantly higher resolutions and more models. Ring is now infinite – asteroids spawn as you play. There is a greater variety of asteroids available, and they randomly vary in size. Couple of bugs got fixed. All important stuff, but not easy to showcase.
So I decided to show up some quirks of older ships instead. Actually they are fun to play – working around quirky thrusters gives new experience even to seasoned pilot.
