Originally I intended release of ΔV in Q3 2018. Today I took some time to reflect on our development progress and while it’s looking solid, with new features and bug fixes every day, it does not look like we will make it in 2018 – not unless we push it really hard.
“A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.”

Another important factor is our game engine. ΔV runs on Godot Engine 3.1, which is now in alpha testing stage. It still has bugs. It should reach the stable state in 2018, but I will still need some time to iron out all kinks and quirks that come with every change.
I want to have ΔV released as a complete, polished experience, with all the story elements, all the ships, upgrades and mechanics in place. I don’t want to push a rushed game.
That’s why we decided to reschedule release of ΔV: Rings of Saturn’s rescheduled to Q1 2019.
